About Me
My name is Thom Whitehead, and I am an instructional designer with a passion for developing high-quality training content and comprehensive learning solutions. I am in the final semester of pursuing my master’s degree in Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies at Florida State University. My educational background and previous work experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, performance analysis, and multimedia production. I am particularly interested in the fields of mobile learning (m-learning), gamification, and game-based learning, and how these can be used to enhance motivation and engagement in learners.
I have a proven track record of communicating effectively with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members to gather requirements and ensure the accuracy of content. I enjoy working in highly collaborative team environments that provide constructive feedback. I am adept at assuming leadership responsibilities on projects, offering direction and guidance to team members. I pride myself on my attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to ensure that projects are completed on time and with precision. Above all I strive to foster a culture of learning and development that ultimately contributes to an organization’s success.
